LH Access Technology specialises in designing and fitting rail gear to vehicles for Road/Rail use. There are generally three forms of rail gear: rail guidance, friction drive and hydrostatic drive. A combination of these options can also be used, allowing Road/Rail solutions from as little as 3.5 tonne units to 44 tonne and larger.
The industry has seen a growing demand for Road/Rail Vehicles allowing for increased flexibility when working on track. Our products include production of new Road/Rail Vehicles for a variety of applications, including: shunters, access platforms, drum carriers, personnel carriers, cranes, tipping bodies and van bodies.
LH Access Technology is the only UK based approved Road/Rail Unimog supplier, offering experienced personnel qualified to work on safety critical components. LH Access Technology not only offers service and maintenance for all its own vehicle solutions, but can offer the same service including repair and refurbishment to any Road/Rail vehicle currently in the UK rail network.
Working in partnership with its customers, LH Access Technology can supply operator and maintenance manuals and gain VAB approval for new Road/Rail equipment to work on Network Rail infrastructure.
Access Platforms
LH Access Technology are manufacturers and suppliers of the Mercedes-Benz U400 Unimog with the LH 400 9/6 modular mobile elevating working platform. LH Access Technology are also the UK Sales agent for all new SRS vehicles.
Shunter
LH Access Technology are manufacturers and suppliers of the Mercedes-Benz U400 Unimog Shunter capable of shunting up to 800 tonnes.

Personnel Carriers
LH Access Technology can supply personnel carriers using various vehicle manufacturers, including the U400 Unimog, Mitsubishi Canter & Bremach.![]()
